Bijoy to Avro converter online [ বিজয় টু অভ্র কনভার্টার ]
Old documents typed with Bijoy in fonts like SutonnyMJ turn into gibberish such as Avgvi †`k on Facebook, websites and phones. This converter turns that text into Unicode Bangla (আমার দেশ), the same kind of text Avro Keyboard types, so it works everywhere. It also converts Unicode back to Bijoy for print shops that still ask for SutonnyMJ.
How to use it
- Paste your Bijoy text in the first box. It converts as soon as you paste.
- Or type or paste Unicode Bangla and click Unicode → Bijoy.
- Click Copy result and paste it wherever you need it.
- To convert back and check a result, click Use result as input.
Bijoy, Unicode and Avro: what is the difference?
| Bijoy (SutonnyMJ) | Unicode (Avro) | |
|---|---|---|
| How it stores ক | As the English letter K, drawn as ক by the font | As the Bangla letter ক (U+0995), in any font |
| Works on | Only where SutonnyMJ is installed | Web, phones, Facebook, email, Google Docs |
| Searchable | No | Yes |
| Use it for | Print jobs that require SutonnyMJ | Everything else |
"Avro text" is simply Unicode Bangla: Avro is the keyboard people use to type it. So Bijoy to Avro and Bijoy to Unicode mean the same thing. The full story is in Bijoy vs Unicode explained.
Frequently asked questions
Is my text uploaded?
Bijoy → Unicode runs entirely in your browser, so nothing is sent anywhere. For Unicode → Bijoy, the text is sent over HTTPS to the ConverterAZ conversion service because it handles SutonnyMJ's special letter shapes more accurately. ConvertBD does not store it. If that service does not answer, the page converts in your browser instead.
The Bijoy result looks like English letters
That is correct. Bijoy text is English letter codes. Select it in Word or InDesign and choose the SutonnyMJ font to see Bangla.
Some letters look broken after converting
Bijoy files often contain stray codes from the keyboard. Run the result through the Bangla text fixer to repair split vowel signs and letter order.
Can I type Bangla here instead?
Use the Bangla typing page. Type amar desh and get আমার দেশ in Unicode, no software needed.
